Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up of 253 posts of Jail Warder in Prison Department in the pay scale of Rs. 14000-60,500 (Pay Band No.2) and Grade Pay Rs. 5200/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules. (II) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:- The candidate must satisfy the following criteria.:
(A) Nationality- Candidates must be Indian Citizen, permanent resident of Assam. Selected candidates will have to submit Proof of Residence after publication of the final select list. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are exempted from submitting such certificates.
(B) Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
(C) Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Age Limit:- 18 to 40 Years (10.01.2023)
Age Relaxation:
- OBC/MOBC Candidates:- 3 Years
- SC/ST Candidates: 5 Years.
- Ex-Servicemen:- 2 years.
Education Qualification:- HSLC (10) Passed.
(III) PHYSICAL STANDARDS TEST (PST):
(A) Height (Minimum)
- Male:- Gen / OBC / MOBC / SC:- 162.5 cm
- Female:- Gen / OBC / MOBC / SC: - 144.5 cm
- Male:- ST (H) / ST (P):- 160 cm
- Female:- ST (H) / ST (P):- 142 cm
(B) Chest (only for men):- measuring not less than 81 cm when deflated.
PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET):- 40 Marks
Male candidates:
- Race:- 1600 meters. (Maximum qualifying time 450 sec.)
- Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm (3 Chance)
